Purpose of Role:

The Handyman will be responsible for all preventative and reactive maintenance in the Bellville Campus including stock control of the maintenance store. The Handyman will also be responsible to perform a relief function as Access Controller when required.

Requirements:

Grade 10
2 years general proven handyman experience as well as general office administration/clerical experience
Experience with electrical and plumbing maintenance/fault identification
Painting skills
The ability to work with equipment and power tools such as electrical drills, hammers, levels, painting equipment, etc.
The ability to work with office equipment such as photocopiers, shredders, binders, etc.
Knowledge of basic office administration
Basic numeric & literacy skills
Basic e-mail skills (MS Outlook)
Ability to cope with normal day-to-day stresses of work
Good communications skills
Code 08 drivers licence
Clear criminal and credit record
