The name of the competition is "What would you buy with R150 000".
The competition will run from 21 November to 16 December 2011.
The competition is open to all natural persons living in the Republic of South Africa. A winner under 18 must be assisted by his/her parent or legal guardian in order to receive prize money
Participants may enter as many times as they like each weekday that this competition is on. Every entry with a correct answer will be entered into the grand draw that day
Entry for this competition is done either through an SMS or an entry on the Capitec Facebook tab. Participants are able to enter through both mediums if they chose to. Both entry mediums build into one database for drawing daily winners. A computer programmed algorithm will randomly allocate winners from the total entries every day
To enter the competition via radio, participants need to listen to the radio advertising for this competition on 5FM and Metro FM on week days between 21 November and 16 December 2011 and answer the question on each advert. To enter, participants are required to SMS "CAPITEC" and the answer to 31149. Standard SMS rates apply and free minutes are not applicable
To enter the competition via Facebook, participants are to go to the Capitec Facebook page on weekdays only. On this page, participants can see the question they need to answer for that day. Answers are to be entered on the competition tab only
Entries for each day will be accepted from 6:00am until 11:45pm, after which entries for that day will be closed. Participants are to note that SMS's will still be charged for entries after 11:45pm; however their entry will not go through to the daily draw
Only and all correct answers will be collated for entry into a random draw for the daily Cash Prize. All correct entries on Facebook and SMS will be collated and one winner per day will be randomly selected by computer
Daily winners will be contacted by phone between 10am and 5pm on draw dates (the first weekday following the competition date) and will be required to provide satisfactory proof to the Promoter of the competition of their identity and valid entry. A new winner will be drawn if after 3 phone calls, each lasting a minimum of 45 seconds, the organisers cannot reach the initial winner
The Promoter of the competition may require the winners to be identified, or to appear on radio and Facebook, when accepting their Cash Prizes or after receiving the Cash Prizes. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoter's marketing material
All participants shall be given an opportunity to opt-in or opt-out for future promotional material from the Promoter. Opting-in is not a requisite to participate in the competition
The amounts of the Cash Prizes differ every day and will be announced on Facebook and on the radio. The amounts of the Cash Prizes have been pre determined by date and the amount is final and will not be negotiated
Winners will be contacted by phone by no later than 5pm on the day of the draw to arrange handover. Calls may be recorded for verification purposes
The Cash Prize is not transferable and will only be paid by electronic funds transfer into a Capitec Bank savings account in the name of the winner. No Cash Prize will be paid into a non Capitec bank account and cannot be drawn in cash or any other form
Winners, without a Capitec Bank savings account, will be required to open a savings account at Capitec Bank within 2 months after being announced as the winner. Such winners must be in possession of a valid South Africa ID document/South African passport and proof of residence according to Capitec Bank's FICA requirements in order to open a Capitec Bank savings account and have access to their prize money. This needs to be presented at the Capitec branch where the savings account is opened. If the winner fails to open a savings account at Capitec Bank within the above 2 months, the winner will forfeit the prize money
If the winner already has a Capitec Bank savings account, then the account detail of the winner will be required so that the prize money can be transferred into the winner's savings account
The judges' decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into
Capitec Bank accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to goods or personal injury suffered as a result of participating or winning any prize, and will also not be responsible or liable for any further expenses or fees required for purpose of using, applying or enjoying the prize won in this competition
The competition is not open to any person who is a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of Capitec Bank or others involved in organising the competition
The competition closes on 16 December 2011 at 11:45pm
