Your Daily Savings Account

All clients get a Daily Savings Account which is a savings and transaction account in one. It's your main account and gives you access to our other saving and credit products.

Easiest, paperless transactions at lower, transparent bank costs
Easy access to your money using your Global One card, Mobile Banking or Internet Banking
Monthly admin fee of R4.50; minimum balance of R25

Savings Plan

Once you have opened a Daily Savings Account you can create your own Savings Plan. These plans allow you to manage your money according to your needs while earning high interest. This saving option allows you to:

Choose your term, the amount and the account name
Make lump sum or multiple deposits
Open up to 4 Savings Plans (or Fixed Term Savings Plans)
Access your money any time you need it

Fixed Terms Savings Plan

Once you have created a Savings Plan you can choose to fix the term. You'll earn even more interest with this saving option and achieve your goals sooner!

Choose your term, the amount and the account name
Choose your deposit option:
- Lump sum: 6-60 months, R5 million maximum investment
  - Minimum of R10 000
- Multiple: 6-24 months, R1 million maximum investment
Interest rate fixed for the full term
No monthly admin fees
Reinvest the interest or transfer it to your Daily Savings Account
Money only available on the maturity date
Admin fees for early access

Open a Capitec Bank Savings Account

Opening a Capitec Bank account is easy:

Our branches are open Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm) and on Saturdays (8am – 1pm). Selected branches in major shopping malls are open on Sundays (10am – 2pm). All branches are closed on public holidays.

Note that some of our branches are open at 8.30am on mid-month Wednesdays due to training, and that our branches in malls follow mall trading hours.
