Did you know you could get credit if you don’t earn a fixed salary? If you're self-employed or have multiple sources of income every month, you could get up to R500 000 credit for your personal use.

What is credit for multiple income earners?

  • It is credit provided to customers receiving a fixed monthly salary and/or income from multiple sources (Note: examples of multiple sources of income listed below)
  • Products available include Revolving Credit (access facility), Credit Card and Personal Loan
  • You can choose your own monthly repayment date

 

Who can apply?

  • If you are 18 years of age or older, AND
  • If you earn an income of more than R10 000 per month for at least 3 months

What do you need to apply?

  • Please supply your South African ID document
  • Bank statements – refer to “Documents required” section (only if your income is not paid into your Capitec savings account).
    NOTE: the date stamp on your bank statement must not be older than 7 days at application date
  • Additionally, you will require documents specific to the type of income earned per month as listed below.

Spousal maintenanceYou get monthly income from your spouse after a divorce or separation.

  • Court document showing the amount to be paid
Allowance incomeYou get a regular income from a benefactor.
  • 3 months’ bank statements reflecting the allowance payments

  • Please note that as part of the application your benefactor will be asked to confirm source of payment
Interest earnersYou have investment or savings portfolios and receive regular payouts into your main transactional account.
  • 3 months’ bank statements
  • Investment statement
Commission or freelance earnerYou only get paid based on the work you performed
  • 6 months’ bank statements
  • Further documentation to be confirmed, but could include commission payslips or employment contract or invoice
Salary from an international companySouth African citizens who are receiving a salary from an employer based outside of South Africa.

  • 3 months bank statement reflecting the latest 3 salary deposits (If the salary is first paid into an international account and then transferred to a South African account, statements from both accounts are required)
