    tips for travelling

    • Make sure you know where to board
    • Arrive 30 minutes before the departure time to avoid missing the coach
    • For connecting journeys/transport, allow enough time to meet your other travel requirements
    • Make sure your suitcases do not exceed 80 x 60 x 30cm in size and do not weigh more than 30kg to avoid additional costs to your journey
    • Carrying big bottles of liquid with you not only takes up valuable space, but also adds unnecessary weight to your luggage. Purchase small travel-sized containers for your shampoo, face wash, moisturiser, etc.
    • When packing, rolling your clothes is the perfect solution – they take up less space and you’ll be able to fit extra items into the nooks and crannies of your suitcase
    • It’s always good to carry a hand sanitizer or wipes when travelling so that you can disinfect your hands throughout your trip
    • To keep track of your belongings, get a Greyhound/Citiliner luggage sticker when boarding
    • Always take a jersey or blanket on board as the coaches are air-conditioned
    • Remember to pack some munchies for your trip. There's generally a stop or 2 at roadside restaurants or service stations every few hours of your journey. Selected Greyhound services also offer snacks to buy on board
    • Alcohol may not be consumed on Greyhound/Citiliner coaches
    • Ensure that you have a valid passport and required travel documents for all cross-border journeys. You must be 18 years and older to travel cross-border unaccompanied
    • Smoking is strictly prohibited on the coaches
    • For your safety, large luggage items must be placed in the designated luggage compartment and loaded only by an employee or agent of Greyhound/Citiliner
    • Make time to stretch while travelling. Stand up regularly and stretch for 10 seconds
    • Due to safety regulations, passengers that are further than 36 weeks into their pregnancy will not be accepted for travel
    • Inform the 24hr customer care centre beforehand if you have any specific/special needs on your journey
