We've partnered with Afrika Tikkun Bambanani (ATB) and Think Equal (TEB) to empower children through education.
Through our collaboration with Afrika Tikkun Bambanani (ATB) and Think Equal (TEB), we’re making a real difference in Early Childhood Development (ECD). ATB provides essential resources and teacher training, while TEB brings innovative teaching aids and a social-emotional learning curriculum to enrich young minds.
Together, we’re fostering holistic child development and improving educational outcomes. Our TEB ECD projects in Orange Farm and Kuruman focused on enhancing teacher competency, learner development, and technology integration. So far, we reached 85 ECD centres, 434 teachers, and over 4 000 children. Through structured activities and training, teachers have been equipped with innovative methods to nurture cognitive and emotional development in learners.
Beyond the classroom, our commitment extends to hands-on involvement. 75 volunteers participated in 3 Health Day initiatives at ATB hubs in Gauteng and the Western Cape, focusing on health and wellness for children and youth. They led learning sessions using the Budget Champs Game to instil financial literacy, facilitated Life Skills Sessions to Grade 11 learners and helped young people to prepare for job applications with CV writing support and mock interviews.
Theresa Michael, CEO of Afrika Tikkun Bambanani, shared: "The real measure of our work lies in the impact on the lives of the children we serve. This year, we celebrated a 99.2% school readiness rate – a number that reflects more than statistics. It reflects the spark in a child's eye when they master something new, the confidence in their step as they step into a classroom ready to take on the world."
Through these strategic partnerships, we’re investing in the future – actively supporting ECD centres with a comprehensive physio-social programme that strengthens academic and social development. Because when children have the right foundation, they have a brighter future.
