Play LOTTO on our app

The National Lottery has changed from Ithuba to Sizekhaya with new names and new games. Buy tickets and play on our app.

Here’s what’s changed

New game names: Some games have been renamed. The extra PowerBall draw is now called PowerBall Xtra (formerly “Plus”) and the add-on LOTTO Plus 2 draw is now called LOTTO 5 Max. Don’t worry, these name changes won’t affect how you play.

Number ranges updated: LOTTO now uses 1–52, and PowerBall is now 1–16 – the app shows this automatically.
Multiplay options: LOTTO and PowerBall offer 1 or 2 extra numbers; Daily LOTTO only offers 1.

Game updates: Daily LOTTO Plus has been removed and MatchPlay 13 has been added.

What you can do

  • Buy LOTTO, LOTTO Xtra 1 and LOTTO Xtra 2 tickets using our app and USSD (Internet Banking Coming SOON)
  • Buy PowerBall and PowerBall Xtra tickets
  • Buy Daily LOTTO Tickets
  • View the latest Jackpot amounts
  • Choose their numbers or use the Quick Pick option
  • Play up to ten (10) Boards/Lines per ticket
  • Play the same ticket for up to ten (10) consecutive draws in a single purchase
  • View and replay their previous tickets
  • View draw results and divisions
  • Get their winnings paid back into the same Capitec account they used to purchase the Sizekhaya Tickets

Note: Only clients 18 years or older are allowed to play the LOTTO.

For quick access, LOTTO will automatically be added as a favourite on our app for new clients. Existing clients can add LOTTO as a favourite by doing the following:

  • Tap Edit on the home screen to view current favourites
  • Choose LOTTO from the list of favourites

Note: A maximum of 6 favourites are displayed on the home screen. If there are already 6, remove one of the other favourites.

  1. Open our app and tapTransact
  2. Choose Play LOTTO
  3. Choose either LOTTO, PowerBall or Daily LOTTO and tap either Choose numbers or Quick Pick
  4. Add LOTTO Xtra 1 and/or LOTTO Xtra 2
  5. Choose Number of Boards
  6. Choose Number of Draws
  7. Tap Next
  8. If you select Choose Number, the Choose Numbers board will appear. Tap Next 
    •    NOTE:     Pick for Me generates random numbers which you can change
  9. Review the Summary of your ticket, accept the T&Cs, then tap Buy Now to buy a ticket or Cancel to end the transaction
  10. Select Account and tap Pay
  11. You’ll see the Successful screen with a Ticket Reference
    Number     and Board selection
  12. Tap Done

New tickets will appear under the History Tab. You can view up to 10 tickets and choose to play a ticket again.

  1. Tap History
  2. Tap on the ticket to view it
  3. Tap Play again to play a ticket again

  1. Tap Previous results
  2. Tap LOTTO, PowerBall or DAILY LOTTO results
  3. To view winning numbers, tap Divisions

 

Any winnings up to R250 000 will be paid directly into your Capitec account.
