How to use Apple Pay
After setting up Apple Pay, you can make safe, contactless payments in just a few steps.
Paying in-store with Touch ID
- Double-click the home button to open your Apple Pay Wallet
- Hold the top of your iPhone close to the NFC reader and keep your finger on Touch ID
- Wait for the card reader to confirm the payment with a sound or visual signal
- Your iPhone will vibrate and show a tick and the word Done
Paying in-store with Face ID or passcode
- Double-tap the side button on your iPhone
- Your default card and the Face ID icon will appear
- Authenticate using Face ID or your passcode, then hold your iPhone near the NFC reader
- The card reader will confirm the payment with a sound or visual signal
- Your iPhone will vibrate, beep, and display a tick with Done
Paying in-store with Apple Watch
- Double-click the side button on your Apple Watch
- Hold the face of your watch near the NFC reader
- The card reader will confirm the payment with a sound or visual signal
- Your watch will vibrate and beep
Using Apple Pay online or in apps
Simply choose Apple Pay as your payment method at checkout.
