ECD

The first years of a child’s life shape everything that follows. Our Early Childhood Development (ECD) programme supports children during the critical developmental period between 0 – 6 years. We partner with Afrika Tikkun Bambanani (ATB) to strengthen ECD centres across all 9 provinces. Together, we support 134 ECD centres and help create sustainable early learning environments where children can thrive.

Many ECD centres face challenges such as limited resources, underqualified teachers and limited access to digital tools. We help by:

  • Upskilling ECD teachers and principals
  • Providing a structured curriculum and essential learning materials
  • Introducing safe, age‑appropriate digital learning tools
  • Strengthening relationships between ECD centres and their communities

Life Skills

As learners approach adulthood, they need more than academic knowledge – they need practical skills for life, work and financial wellbeing. Our Life Skills programme, run by our trained Branch Managers, helps Grade 11 learners build the confidence and competencies they need for the modern workplace.

With South Africa’s high youth unemployment rate, our programme directly supports career readiness and real-world learning through:

  • Practical life and financial skills
  • Career guidance and self-reflection
  • Exercises that build confidence and independence

Learners receive a MyNext Guide, developed by Ruda Landman in partnership with StudyTrust, to support long-term skills development and self-directed exploration.
