We value the trust you place in us to govern, process, and safeguard your personal information. However, if you have a question or feel that we have not taken the appropriate, reasonable, technical and organisational measures to prevent loss, damage, unauthorised and unlawful access to your personal information, you can exercise your data privacy rights with Capitec.

For you to exercise your privacy rights, you would need to complete the following forms:

  1. Query Personal Information
  2. Delete Personal Information
  3. Object to / Restrict Processing of Personal Information
  4. Privacy Complaint

You can either complete the forms by using the online forms on our Website or you can decide to complete the forms manually by following the instructions below.

Completing an online form

If you are a Retail or Insurance Client, please click here to complete the online form.

If you are a Business, Rental Finance or Merchant Service Client, please click here to complete the online form.

 

Completing and submitting a form manually

To complete a form manually:

  • Navigate to the Information Regulator’s website
  • Click on the form link
  • Download the form
  • Complete the form either manually on your electronic device or by printing out the form and completing it by hand
  • Submit the form to Capitec as per the instructions in the PAIA Manual

Ensure you follow the instructions within the forms as incomplete form submissions may delay our response to your request and/or complaint.

 

Privacy complaints

If you have any privacy complaints, you can either:

  • Submit the complaint form on the Webform here
  • Complete and submit a complaint form manually by completing POPIA – Form 5 and submitting it as per the instructions in the PAIA Manual
  • Or you can submit your complaint directly to the Information Regulator:
 

For POPIA complaints:

Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator by completing the prescribed POPIA Form 5 from the Information Regulator’s Website and send it to POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

For PAIA complaints:

Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator by completing the prescribed PAIA Form 5 from the Information Regulator’s Website and send it to PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.
