Important Mastercard and Visa update for Cuba
If you're travelling to Cuba, please be aware that Mastercard and Visa payments are no longer available in the country.
If you're travelling to Cuba, please be aware that Mastercard and Visa payments are no longer available in the country.
According to reports from Cuba's central bank, a foreign payment processing partner that previously enabled card transactions in Cuba has limited its operations following expanded U.S. sanctions on commerce with the country. As a result, Mastercard and Visa payments, are no longer available at merchants in Cuba. This means that you won’t be able to use our Debit or Credit Card to make payments in Cuba.
If you're travelling to, or are currently in Cuba, we recommend planning ahead and ensuring that you have alternative payment methods, such as cash, available during your trip. If you're currently travelling in Cuba, you may also be affected by these changes and should make alternative payment arrangements where possible.
We'll update this page if anything changes.
