Scammers are posing as courier companies trying to steal your personal info, money, and even the package.

They are sending fake delivery messages with links that ask you for money or personal information to deliver your package.

Educate yourself on how to stay ahead of them

The signs you’re dealing with a scammer include:

It’s a rush

They create pressure so that you take instant action, such as paying them or giving them your personal information to claim the package.

Messages out of nowhere

Be wary of emails, SMSs or phone calls that come out of nowhere claiming to be from courier companies. Especially if you are not expecting a delivery.

More money

When you order a package, your delivery fees are already calculated as part of the total cost. And if someone is sending you a package, they pay the delivery fees.

Unless the courier company contacts you before it's sent, ignore any messages asking for money or your personal info to deliver.

Unusual address

If a courier claims to be from a company, check and verify their contact details by visiting their website.

To protect yourself from scammers:

  • Ignore or delete unexpected delivery messages
  • Don't click on links in emails or texts unless verified
  • Track packages on the company’s website
  • Don’t share personal info or make payments without verification
