How to stop your personal banking card

Stop your card on our app

1. Sign in on your app
2. Tap Cards on the bottom menu, and select a card
3. Tap Stop card
4. Choose a reason for stopping your card (Card lost, Card stolen or Card damaged)
5. Tap Stop

Stop your card on WhatsApp

1. Send ‘Hello’ to our verified WhatsApp number on 067 418 9565
2. Tap Main Menu and then tap Self-service options
3. Tap Self-service Menu and then choose Everyday Banking
4. Tap Everyday Banking and then choose Stop Card  
5. Tap Card List, choose the card you want to stop, and follow the on-screen prompts

Stop your card on USSD

1. Dial *120*3279#
2. Choose Manage cards
3. Select a card
4. Choose Stop card
5. Choose a reason for stopping your card
6. Enter your mobile banking PIN to confirm

Stop your card by speaking to an agent

1. Call our 24hr Client Care Centre on 0860 10 20 43 or +27 21 941 1377 if you’re outside of South Africa
2. An agent will help you stop your lost, stolen or damaged personal banking card

How to stop your business banking card

Stop your card on our app

1. Sign in on our app
2. Tap Cards
3. Select a card by clicking the drop-down for either debit, credit or virtual card
4. From the options Stop card or Pause card, tap Stop Card
5. Choose a reason for stopping your card (Card lost, Card stolen or Card damaged)
6. Tap Continue

Stop your card on online banking

1. Sign in to online banking
2. Select Cards
3. Select a card by clicking the drop-down for either debit, credit or virtual card and select view details
4. From the options Pause card or Stop card choose Stop card
5. Select a reason for stopping your card (Lost, Stolen, Damaged or Suspected fraud)
6. Select Continue

Stop your card by speaking to an agent

1. Call our 24hr Client Care Centre on 0860 30 92 50 and choose option 1
2. An agent will help you stop your lost, stolen or damaged business banking card
