For the first time in our history, we’ve been ranked among South Africa’s top 10 most valuable brands.

In Brand Finance’s 2026 South Africa 100 study, we ranked 6th for brand strength, indicating trust, familiarity and relevance. We also moved up to 9th place for brand value – from 14th place last year. This reflects more than growth. It shows that our innovation makes an impact. And above all, that our clients bank on us every day.

Built on what matters to you

This recognition wasn’t driven by marketing spend. Rather, it comes from how we’ve built our business. We focus on:

  • Our share price increased by 60% in 2025
  • We became South Africa’s largest bank by market value at R407 billion
  • Our client base grew to 25 million people

Today, more than half of South Africa’s adult population banks with us. At just 25 years old, we now stand alongside banks that have been around for over 100 years.
